Psalm 107
1. Oh, that men would praise the LORD!
His goodness and His works record.
The longing soul He satisfies
And fills the hungry soul that cries.
2. Sad rebels bound with iron chains
Cried to the LORD in dark and pains;
He saved them from distress and fright;
He broke their bands and gave them light.
3. Oh, that all men would praise the LORD!
His goodness and His works record;
He cut the irons bars in two,
And all the gates of brass broke through.
4. Afflicted fools because of sin
Draw near to death all sick within,
But when they cry to God He hears
And heals and saves them from their fears.
5. Oh, that all men would praise the LORD!
His goodness and His works record,
Give thanks and offer sacrifice;
Rejoice in works beyond all price.
6. All those in ships on waters deep
Behold God’s works as great waves leap
And toss their ship while storms do blow,
As drunk, they stagger to and fro.
7. They cry to God in their distress
And soon the ragging storm is less.
He stills the waves and calms the sea
And brings them where they want to be.
8. Oh, that all men would praise the LORD!
His goodness and His works record,
Exalt Him in assembled crowd,
Give praise and sing and shout aloud!
